Narwhal is building the Palantir of maritime - an AI-powered operating system for shipping companies and ships that connects fragmented systems and automates workflows across procurement, logistics, maintenance, and compliance. We've launched our Beta, deployed our first AI agents, and are co-building with major shipping companies worldwide. Now we're looking for an exceptional Head of Product to join our founding team and help architect the platform that will reshape a trillion-dollar industry.

Narwhal's competitive advantage is our vessel-centric data layer, the structured knowledge graph that maps equipment, parts, suppliers, and workflows for every vessel in a fleet. This isn't analytics infrastructure or a data warehouse. It's the operational data foundation that makes AI agents work. You'll build the systems that ingest messy maritime data, structure it into usable form, and keep it synchronized across disconnected systems in real-time.

Most maritime AI projects fail because they're built in labs, not operations centers. Models that work on clean datasets break on real supplier invoices. Agents that pass tests can't handle the exceptions that define maritime logistics. You'll build AI systems that operate in the messy reality of global shipping, extracting data from inconsistent PDFs, learning supplier-specific terminology, understanding the difference between "fuel pump" and "fuel injection pump" across six different part numbering systems.

Shipping companies operate on systems that weren't designed to talk to each other: ERPs that only speak SOAP, supplier portals that require UI automation, forwarder platforms with inconsistent data formats, vessel systems with limited connectivity. You'll build the backend infrastructure that makes these systems work together, the integration layer, data synchronization engine, and workflow orchestration platform that powers Narwhal's AI agents.

Narwhal is connecting the disconnected systems that run global shipping, ERPs, supplier portals, forwarder platforms, vessel management systems, and automating the workflows that currently burn thousands of hours of manual work. We're not building another SaaS dashboard. We're building AI agents that read PDFs, extract data from emails, synchronize inventory across incompatible systems, and learn from operator feedback to get smarter over time. We need a Head of Engineering & AI who can turn this vision into production-grade reality.

Maritime operators don't need another dashboard. They need technology that fits their workflows, surfaces the right information at the right time, and gets out of the way when they're executing. You'll build the interfaces that make Narwhal's AI agents useful, from procurement automation tools to shipment tracking systems to inventory reconciliation interfaces. Your code will run on vessels at sea and in operations centers managing global fleets.
